WE CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU!PRE-VISIT HAIR PREP
The most common pre-visit appointment question is “Should I come with my hair freshly washed?” The answer to that is very much dependent on the service you’re receiving, so take a look our hair prep instructions and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any follow up questions.
-
Come with 2–4 day unwashed hair. Natural oils help protect your scalp. Avoid scratching, brushing, or irritating your scalp beforehand.
-
Come with freshly washed hair—same day or the day before. Bonus points for using a clarifying or detox shampoo.
-
Follow the prep instructions for platinum or blonding, as recommended by your stylist.
-
Come with clean, naturally styled hair (washed the day of or day before). Skip hairspray, waxy products, hats, clips, bands + braids so we can see your natural curl pattern.
THE AFTERCARE ERApost-VISIT HAIR CARE TIPS
A few simple shifts in how you wash, style, and protect your hair can make a big difference in how your color, cut, and overall hair health hold up between visits.
Here are a few simple tips to keep your hair looking and feeling its best between visits. And please remember, we’re always here to guide you and answer any questions related to your haircut/color/style.
-
Give your fresh platinum a little extra love after your appointment.
Wait 48 hours before shampooing to give your color time to settle in. When you do wash, reach for a sulfate-free shampoo or oil-based cleanser like New Wash.
Purple shampoo + conditioner are your new besties. Use once or twice a week depending on how often you wash and how long it’s been since your last toner or gloss.
Protect those strands. Always use heat + UV protection when styling, embrace a few wash-free days (non-aerosol dry shampoo is your friend!), and try to limit heat styling to a few days a week to avoid unnecessary stress on your hair.
-
Keep that full color looking fresh.
Wait 48 hours before shampooing. When it’s time to wash, use a sulfate-free shampoo or oil-based cleanser like New Wash to help minimize fading.
Embrace your non-wash days. Go as long as your scalp allows between shampoos. Not gonna lie, we love a good non-aerosol dry shampoo for stretching things out a bit.
Protect your color. Use products with heat + UV protection whenever you’re styling to help maintain your color’s vibrancy and tone.
-
A little maintenance goes a long way with your blonde.
Wait 48 hours before shampooing and use a sulfate-free shampoo or oil-based cleanser like New Wash to help minimize fading.
Purple is optional. Purple shampoo and/or conditioner once a week can help combat brassiness, but if you’re loving a warmer, honey blonde, you can skip it.
Keep your hair protected. Use heat + UV protection when styling to help keep your blonde healthy, strong, and looking its best.
-
Vivid color loves a little extra commitment, but we promise it’s worth it.
Wait 48 hours before shampooing. After that, reach for an oil-based cleanser like New Wash or a sulfate-free shampoo.
Wash less whenever you can. Once a week is the goal. Embrace those non-wash days and keep a non-aerosol dry shampoo handy.
Avoid the major color-faders. Chlorine (like the plague), hot water (hello, cold hair washes), and excessive heat styling. Use heat + UV protection daily to protect your strands and your color.
Keep it vibrant. Use a Color Bomb as needed between appointments to refresh your tone and keep your color looking bright AF.
-
Your curls will let you know when they’re ready for a refresh, but 4–6 months is a good rule of thumb.
Coming back within 6 months? A Return Client Cut may be perfect if you’re maintaining your current shape, while a Micro Cut works when just a couple areas need some attention.
Been 6+ months? Book a Transformational Cut so we have the extra time needed to reshape, refresh, and give your curls the full attention they deserve.
